Technical Trainer – Sewing and Embroidery

1. Background

Orange is implementing the [Orphan care and empowerment/106], aimed at promoting sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment for in Northwest Syria through vocational and technical skills development. Sewing and embroidery are high-demand skills that enable participants to generate income through home-based or small-scale businesses, catering to local markets and traditional crafts.

As part of this initiative, Orange seeks a female technical trainer in Sewing and Embroidery to deliver structured training sessions that equip participants with practical skills in garment making, embroidery techniques, and small-scale production management.

2. Objective of the Assignment

The objective is to provide participants with the skills to:

·        Produce garments and embroidered items using professional techniques.

·        Apply quality standards in stitching, finishing, and embellishment.

·        Develop small-scale production capacity for home-based or micro-enterprises.

·        Understand basic costing, pricing, and marketing to enhance sales.

·        Incorporate creativity and design trends suitable for local and niche markets.

3. Scope of Work / Responsibilities

The trainer will:

·        Develop a training curriculum and session plan tailored to participants’ skill levels.

·        Deliver 20 training days using participatory, hands-on, and inclusive methods.

·        Cover key topics such as:

-            Sewing fundamentals (pattern reading, cutting, stitching, finishing).

-            Embroidery techniques (traditional and modern styles).

-            Fabric selection and preparation.

-            Quality control and finishing standards.

-            Basic business skills: costing, pricing, and marketing of products.

-            Creative design and personalization techniques.

·        Provide practical demonstrations and supervise participants’ hands-on work.

·        Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure learning outcomes.

·        Support participants in producing a portfolio of at least 3–5 completed items.

·        Submit a final report including attendance, progress, and recommendations.

4. Expected Deliverables

·        Approved training curriculum and schedule.

·        Delivery of 20 training sessions.

·        Training materials, handouts, and demonstration samples.

·        Participant assessment results and portfolios.

·        Final report summarizing achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

5. Duration and Location

·        Duration: 20 working daysWith extendibility

6. Reporting and Supervision

The trainer will report to the Livelihoods Field Coordinator and coordinate with the MEAL team for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

7. Qualifications and Experience

·        Degree, diploma, or professional certification in Sewing, Tailoring, or Embroidery.

·        Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in sewing and embroidery production.

·        Prior experience in vocational training or hands-on workshops.

·        Strong facilitation and communication skills, with ability to train women and youth effectively.

·        Knowledge of local fabrics, traditional embroidery techniques, and market trends.

·        Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and protection principles.

كجزء من هذه المبادرة، تسعى أورنج لتوظيف مدربة فنية في الخياطة والتطريز لتقديم جلسات تدريبية منظمة تمكن المشاركات من اكتساب المهارات العملية في صناعة الملابس، تقنيات التطريز، وإدارة الإنتاج على نطاق صغير.

2.     الهدف

الهدف الرئيسي هو تزويد المشاركات بالمهارات اللازمة لـ:

·        إنتاج الملابس والقطع المطرزة باستخدام تقنيات احترافية.

·        تطبيق معايير الجودة في الخياطة، التشطيب، والزخرفة.

·        تطوير القدرة على الإنتاج على نطاق صغير للمشاريع المنزلية أو الصغيرة.

·        فهم أساسيات حساب التكلفة، التسعير، والتسويق لتعزيز المبيعات.

·        دمج الإبداع واتجاهات التصميم بما يتناسب مع الأسواق المحلية والمتخصصة.

3.     نطاق العمل / المسؤوليات

تشمل مسؤوليات المدربة ما يلي:

·        إعداد منهج وخطة تدريبية مخصصة وفق مستويات مهارات المشاركات.

·        تقديم 20 يوم تدريب باستخدام أساليب عملية، تشاركية، وشاملة.

·        تغطية الموضوعات الأساسية مثل:

-        أساسيات الخياطة (قراءة الباترونات، القص، الخياطة، التشطيب).

-        تقنيات التطريز (الأساليب التقليدية والحديثة).

-        اختيار وتحضير الأقمشة.

-        مراقبة الجودة ومعايير التشطيب.

-        المهارات الأساسية للأعمال: حساب التكلفة، التسعير، والتسويق للمنتجات.

-        التصميم الإبداعي وتقنيات التخصيص.

·        تقديم عروض عملية والإشراف على عمل المشاركات العملي.

·        إجراء تقييمات قبل وبعد التدريب لقياس نتائج التعلم.

·        مساعدة المشاركات في إعداد حافظة أعمال تضم 3–5 قطع مكتملة على الأقل.

·        تقديم تقرير نهائي يشمل الحضور، التقدم، والتوصيات.

4.      النتائج المتوقعة

·        المنهج التدريبي وخطة الجلسات المعتمدة.

·        تقديم 20 جلسة تدريبية.

·        المواد التدريبية، الكتيبات، ونماذج عملية للعرض.

·        نتائج تقييم المشاركات وحافظات الأعمال.

·        التقرير النهائي الذي يلخص الإنجازات، التحديات، والتوصيات.

5.      المدة والموقع

·        المدة: 20 يوم عمل (قابلة للتمديد إذا لزم الأمر).

·        الموقع: جنديرس – عفرين، شمال غرب سوريا.

6.      الإشراف والمتابعة

تقوم المدربة بتقديم التقارير إلى منسق ميدان سبل العيش والتنسيق مع فريق القياس والمتابعة والتقييم لمتابعة الأداء والتقييم.

7.      المؤهلات والخبرة

·        شهادة جامعية، دبلوم، أو شهادة مهنية في الخياطة، التفصيل، أو التطريز.

·        خبرة عملية لا تقل عن 3–2 سنوات في إنتاج الخياطة والتطريز.

·        خبرة سابقة في تقديم التدريب المهني أو الورش العملية.

·        مهارات قوية في التيسير والتواصل، مع القدرة على تدريب النساء بفعالية.

·        معرفة بالأقمشة المحلية، تقنيات التطريز التقليدية، واتجاهات السوق.

·        الالتزام بـ المساواة بين الجنسين، الشمول الاجتماعي، ومبادئ الحماية.
